What happens if the weather is not suitable for the tour to proceed?
If we decide that the weather is not suitable for touring, we will contact you before the tour departure time to negotiate if the tour will be postponed, cancelled or we may offer an alternative. If the tour is cancelled by us and you have pre-paid we will reimburse you in full.
How fit do I have to be?
Short walks during the tour is optional. A majority of the tour is spent seated in the vehicle, although regular stops are made to stretch and take in the view.
What clothing and foot wear will I need to bring?
• Shoes suitable for walking on uneven ground.
• Thermal layers, wind breaker, warm hat and gloves and socks, rain jacket.
• Sun hat and sun block.
• Camera and day backpack are optional extras.
What will you supply?
• Hiking sticks.
• Drinking water.
• Lunch, afternoon and morning tea and hot beverages such as tea and coffee.
• Reference books for identification of wildlife.
• Folding chairs for relaxation.
I have a medical or physical disability, will this affect my ability to take this tour?
Check with your GP first, then give us a call. If we are comfortable with taking you out on tour after this, we will discuss your issue with you in detail so we maximize your enjoyment and safety on tour.
What is twin share?
Twin share means you a sharing a bedroom with another person. If it is not a couple which is sharing, then the beds will be separate singles.
Where do I meet you for departure?
If you live in Blenheim or nearby, it can be arranged for you to be collected from your address. Alternatively you can drive to our home, you are welcome to leave your car at our rural property.
