Family fun kayak tours

Family fun canoe tours

Find out more about the beautiful world we live in on a family canoe tour. (Kayaks also available). This tour is tailored for all ages and no prior padding experience is necessary. You will be given tuition on  the use of your kayaks or canoes before departure and helped every step of the way.

The tour is all about fun and enjoyment rather than a set destination. Hear about Jim, the little boy who discovered the site of the first Maori village in New Zealand. See the birds and other wildlife that live in a wetland environment. Hear about the extinct bird the moa which was as tall as a human and once grazed in Marlborough. You can see what a moa might have looked like in the wetland.

Have a picnic afternoon or morning tea on the riverside. Afterwards you can feed our alpacas. Great fun for the whole family.
