An exciting opportunity to work with a leading Marlborough eco-tourism company which provides a variety of water and land based tours and has a strong emphasis on conservation and community involvement. Your terrain is Marlborough Sounds, Wairau Valley and Nelson Lakes. This is a fixed term contract position from 1 November 2016 – 31 March 2017. It is a forty hour week position with performance incentives, the days and hours worked are dependent on customer bookings.

Attributes: High level of customer service and engagement is essential. Must be self-motivated, enjoy multitasking and have a sense of humor. The ideal candidate will be flexible with regard to hours and days worked and be strong enough to move kayaks on land when needed. A passion for conservation and wildlife.

Skills: Ability to carry out our health and safety system and experience in sea kayaking are essential. Social media and photography savvy, good time management and te reo Maori are an advantage

Qualifications: Current kayak guiding & first aid certification. Experience in land based guiding.

Other qualifications: Passenger endorsement license, skipper’s ticket, experience in guiding cycle groups.
